Cookies
If you leave a comment on our site, you can choose to save your name, email address and website address in cookie files. This is for your convenience so that you do not have to fill in this information again the next time you comment. These cookies are valid for one year.
If you have an account and log in to this site, we will create a temporary cookie to check if your browser accepts cookie files. This cookie file contains no personally identifiable information and will disappear when you close your browser.
When you log in, we will also create multiple cookie files to save information about your login and your screen layout choices. Cookie files for login are valid for two days and cookie files for layout choices are valid for one year. If you tick “Remember Me”, your cookie will remain for two weeks. If you log out of your account, the login cookies will be deleted.
How long we keep your information
If you write a comment, the comment and its metadata will be saved without a time limit. The reason for this is that we need to be able to find and approve follow-up comments automatically and not queue them for review.
For users who register on your website (if available), we also save the personal information they enter in their user profile. All users can view, edit or delete their personal data at any time (except that they cannot change their username). The site’s administrators can also view and edit this information.
What rights you have over your data
If you have an account or have posted any comments on this site, you may request an export file containing the personal information we hold about you, including any information you have provided to us. You can also request that we delete all personal information we hold about you. This does not include any information that we have to save for administrative, legal or security purposes.
Where we send your information
Visitors’ comments may be checked via an automated spam detection service.
